As you may have seen on our Facebook page, our wonderful apprentice, Luan Windley, has won the Young Apprentice of the Year Award at the Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 Awards.
Luan began his Level 2 Adult Social Care Apprenticeship last year, with West Nottinghamshire College and has grown from strength to strength since then, professionally and personally. It's been amazing to see.
The event took part at the John Fretwell Centre in Mansfield and over 290 guests attended from the area. Helen and Lauren came along with Luan. We got processco on arrival and a lovely three course meal, with a bottle wine on the table. LOVELY! The starter was a rosted vegetable and feta tart, a stuffed chicken breast for our main and lemon pannacotta for dessert.
Before the ceremony started, Luan and our other apprentice, Lauren, had a caricature done by ‘Beefy Caricatures’. It’s fabulous, don’t you think?
We then sat down for the awards. Luan’s category was the third award of the night and we were all rooting for him. When his name was called out, we were THRILLED! Luan had a big beaming smile on his face, which was lovely to see!
We then enjoyed a few more drinks and the rest of the awards.
We are so proud of Luan and it was lovely to see him so pleased with himself.
