Busy Bees

The Adventure Service had a busy Saturday this weekend, with a couple of events going off.

Our Head of Marketing, Lauren, and our Top Valley Day Service Manager, Sarah, attended Nottingham City Council’s Preparing for Adulthood Event at Harvey Hadden Stadium in Nottingham. This event was for the young people of Nottinghamshire, who are transitioning from school to day services, to have a look what’s available to them when they leave school.

Activity Support Worker, Mags, also came along to deliver some activities to those who attended. Some enjoyed making some woodland flags and some grass heads.

We even had our very own Adventurer, Yasmin, come along to say hello and take part.

Over all, the event went well, and we appeared to have lots of interest, so hopefully we will see some of these faces again soon.

Lee and Terry were delivering similar activities at Go Outdoors in Chesterfield, who were celebrating their 1st birthday! Those who attended the store that day had the opportunity to make some grass heads and leather keyrings with The Adventure Service.

The activities were being offered from 9am until 3pm and many shoppers came and had a go. Helen and Terry’s daughter, Clara, came to take part too!

The Adventure Service loves attending these kinds of events. It’s a great way for us to network and raise our profile. Hopefully we’ll see you soon at some more events!
