NEW STAFF ALERT (Again!) Please meet our lovely new Trainee Outdoor Instructor, Katrina Schonhut.
Katrina started on Monday 2nd November and settled in fabulously. When she came for her interview, she BLEW us all AWAY! (Not literally...) Helen was very impressed by Katrina’s interaction with our Adventurers. She even learnt her name in Makaton to communicate with our guys and she remembered everybody’s name. Terry, Mala and Sarah were very impressed with Katrina in the formal interview. She came across fantastic and very enthusiastic. As well as being very knowledgeable and having a wealth of experience in the outdoors, she takes a great interest in working with people, which is exactly what makes a good instructor here at TAS.
Katrina is originally from Hampshire but moved up to Scotland earlier this year. She has now relocated for this job which shows some serious dedication! (But TAS is so worth it!) She has worked as an outdoor instructor in a variety of outdoor centres. She has a passion for the outdoors, and it makes her very happy! (This is good, she’ll be spending a lot of time outdoors!) She is very excited for her a challenge with us and working with a different client group than she’s used to.

Her favourite pass time now is Geocaching.
She has a Labrador called Jessie.
Her favourite film series is Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter!
Her favourite place is the Isle of White as it is beautiful, and she loves the people. (It’s not quite Mansfield Woodhouse thought is it?!)
She loves to be up in the mountains.
She is not a fan of hot drinks (I know, I don’t get it either!) but she is partial to a nice hot chocolate from time to time!
