Over the last few months at The Adventure Service, we’ve sadly had to say goodbye to a few of our favourites as they leave us to start a new chapter.
Goodbye, Lyndsay. Our lovely Activity Support Worker, Lyndsay, left us at the beginning of April to start employment with Yeoman Park School. She has been at The Adventure Service for many years and was a much-valued member of staff. She will be missed, and we wish her all the best.
Goodbye, Martin. Trainee Instructor, Martin, left us in April as he felt it was time for a change. The Scotsman was with The Adventure Service for just over a year and made an impact on our team. He always wowed us with his celebrity and musician stories. Good luck in your next adventure, Martin.
We may have had to say goodbye to these staff members, but we have been fortunate to say hello to three new staff members who have joined our wonderful team this month.
Hello, Fleur. Fleur has joined us as a Trainee Outdoor Instructor. She likes to travel and has been to many places such as South Africa, New Zealand and Chile. She is a horse-riding instructor and used to work in Spain at a dressage yard. She is currently working towards her Mountain Leader and Climbing Wall Instructor and is hoping to gain valuable experience at The Adventure Service.
Hello, John. John started at The Adventure Service in May 2019 as a Trainee Outdoor Instructor. He found his love for the outdoors when he was in his early 20’s. He is passionate about bushcraft and survivalism. He will be working towards his Bushcraft Competency and Hill and Moorland Leader, which he is very excited about.
Hello, David. David started with us as a volunteer and was then employed as an Activity Support Worker in May 2019. He has worked in both Mainstream and Special Schools and has a lot of experience with working with young adults with learning disabilities additional support needs. In his spare time, he enjoys mountain biking and walking his two dogs.
We are very excited about our new starters future here!
