Success stories
Over the ten plus years of existence, The Adventure Service has been successful in winning a number of prestigious awards. Whilst all of these are very humbling, they are also key in helping us to know that we are heading in the right direction for our Staff, Adventurers and the Service as a whole.
Greenwood Community Award

In 2013, The Adventure Service won the Young Team Award, presented to community groups for outstanding contribution towards improving the environment.




Nottinghamshire Business Awards

In 2018, our attention focussed on the Nottinghamshire Business Awards hosted by the East Midlands Chamber, where our employee, Lauren Ingram was nominated for and won the Apprentice of the Year Award.
Institute for Outdoor Learning

To round off a very successful 2018, we were amazed to learn that The Adventure Service was also nominated for, and won, the Workforce Development Awards via the Celebrating Outdoor Learning Awards - hosted by the Institute for Outdoor Learning.





East Midlands Chamber


In 2019, the East Midlands Chamber hosted the Enterprising Women Awards.
To win, nominees must demonstrate that they have fast-growth businesses, mentor or actively support other women and girls, and stand out as leaders in their communities.
The Adventure Service co owner, Helen Harris-Ellis, won the prestigious award whilst Apprentice Lauren, also made it to the finals out of a pool of hundreds of nominations.


Mansfield and Ashfield Business Awards

The Adventure Service's commitment to our employees and especially apprentices was again rewarded in 2019 when Luan Windley won the Apprentice of the Year Award hosted by the Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 judging panel.
