Adult Short Breaks
The Adventure Service provides short breaks for adults with learning disabilities and additional support needs. These Adult Short Breaks take place in the beautiful surroundings of the Peak District National Park.
The main aims of the Adult Short Breaks are to develop the independent living and social skills of our Adventurers.
The Adventure Service provides multiple Adult Short Breaks a year. Each weekend break runs from Friday evening until Sunday evening and we provide transport from both our centres on Friday between 4:15PM and 4:30 PM.
Accommodation is dormitory style and everyone who attends is supported to help with tasks such as food preparation and cleaning up!
Each Adult Short Break has an outdoor theme such as canoeing, caving, rock climbing, bushcraft, gorge walking and many more!
Adventurers who attend our Day Service plan the menu, resources and the activities in the weeks leading up to the visit.
Our Adult Short Breaks are open to adults with additional support needs. This provides an excellent opportunity to spend time with peers whilst also giving parents and carers a weekend break.
Staffing is based on a ratio of 1:4.

Transport is provided from both of our Day Service centres, these are located in Mansfield Woodhouse and Top Valley in Nottingham.

If a 1- to -1 is required an additional
fee must be paid.
P​rice includes food, accommodation and all activities!
You can pay through Personal Budgets arranged by your local Learning Disability Team.
